The products of the trade village Dai Dong in the past were bell, statue, cauldron, brass coins, etc. Nowadays, besides those traditional brass utensils like sets of worshipping objects or bells, the village also founds rough drafts and makes brass components for the industry of manufacturing machines. The main technique used to be handicraft, from casting moulds, drying moulds to founding and pouring. Later on, people bring on machines for some phases of the production process such as lathing, drilling and polishing. The profession is passed from this generation to the other in each household of the village. And each household is an independent producing unit which is responsible for their own manufacturing and consuming the products. From two to four households use one common cauldron for founding brass in turns. In addition, Nom Bridge which belongs to Dai Dong Ward is the place where fragments of brass are collected and delivered to the trade village. The major customers of this village are the dealing agents that sell brass and other metal tools in Ha Noi. Their products are served for many places throughout the country. 80% among those are products that are segmented as ‘popular’ in the public, regarding to their shapes and prices.
